Tafmo,

You're probably not that far from being wrong but they wouldn't have been lawyers.

We've managed to discover a line of sailors in our family going back 4 or 5 generations so far. Had a great grandfather in the Edwardian navy. Apparently my generation of the family is the first one that didn't go to sea.

We got us an edumacation instead!!!!

   Deskjockey,

I hope there is no implication there that we are a bunch of unedumacated matelots ... [-X [-X [-X

That also makes you the first generation to miss out on all the fun that only a sailor knows how to have ...

Ahhh Legal Beagles ... where would we be without them? :-k :-k :-k :finga: :finga: :finga:

Cheers,
Bobcat :cat:

So was Tafmo I suspect... :butthead: :butthead: :butthead: :butthead:

No Liz there was no implication that all matelots are unedumacated. Just the ones back in the 18th and 19th centuries.

Boy, there's an opening there, but being the nice guy that I am I'm going to avoid it like you'd avoid an opening in the Cages in Bombay  :butthead: (now Mumbai).

The UH-60 has the same effect, CJ. A few others are: an A-10 that over flies you at tree top level at full power, an F-16 going into afterburner 50 feet above the deck, and the sound of automatic weapons fire where it ought not to be like one of the less well off neighborhoods of the city of Boston. I can tell you that last one really gets the adrenaline flowing as well.

Fred, I saw a squadron of Blackhawks about 15 years ago (hard to believe they've been around that long) in a night airshow in Townsville. Scary beasts.

Same as the A10 Warthog. When I was on Hobart (a late DDG), we towed a target for one off Hawaii. The thing came in below the level of the ship's bridge, deafened us with the cannon on the front, chewed up the target, and sorta slid around the stern of the ship, flew up the port side, and exited back to starboard below the level of the ship's bow. Very impressive.

Glad I was on the pilot's side! Lumpy, meanwhile, was under the table in the CIC.

Cheers

CJ
