I have just been informed by Con Zarubin that the launch of NS BRISBANE will take place in Adelaide on December 15th 2016.

The BRISBANE Association has been allocated 10 invitations plus Patron & President to be present at the launch.

After talking with Con it has been decided that these positions should be filled by former BRISBANE crew members whose name will be drawn out of a hat.

G’day (again) All, further to the above...

After speaking to Con this morning, we have to have a cutoff date of the 9th November.

This cutoff allows a drawing on Remembrance day at Bomaderry RSL, & to send the lucky winners names to the convening authority in Adelaide.

Unfortunately the 15th December is also the day that the Naval Officers Assoc. have their Christmas luncheon at Parliament House in Canberra,
that means that Ralph Derbidge is unable to attend the launching, & our Patron Admiral Loosli passed away earlier this year.

Ian Watson (Captain E) Rtd has stepped into the position of Patron (temporary) for the day.
