The Hippy Chippy is heading north for few days over Christmas, (then south for New Years Eve,) staying at the south end of the Gold Coast, and I'd love to catch up with as many of our Members as is possible/ practical while I'm up there...

With this in mind I'd like to announce The Second RAN Skilled Hands GOLD COAST (Christmas) Smokey on either Monday 27th or Tuesday 28th Dec., whichever suits the most attendees... (input welcome)

Would love to come to any sort of Mobi/ Muppet get together that might happen on the GOLD COAST, but have difficulty in accepting that Bilambel is on the GOLD COAST. It is in "nsw" and more than a half days march to the coast, but what the heck if you reckon it's the GOLD COAST I can live with that. Looking forward to meeting some of you younger blokes . Maybe some others on the GOLD COAST will be as curious as I to see you in the flesh

Coral, you met both Ned and I 'in the flesh' on the Gold Coast in May this year, you are obviously referring to Ken...? :-k

Ok Rick where are we heading to then? I have just come back from 7 days at Coolangatta. So here are a few places you may consider then .

1. Coolangatta Hotel situated just below NORTH POINT tower.
2. Colangatte sands Hotel. the last remaining old pub still in Coolangatta. Is situated west end of Griffith St.
3. Calypso Tavern Situated east end of Griffith St. Opposite the Beachcomber resort.
4. Kirra Hotel. At Kirra beach
5. Kirra surf lifesaving club. Situated opposte the Kirra Hotel.

I have not mensioned some of the other clubs, mainly due to there size. We could all be there in the club at the same time so as they say never the twain shall meet due to the size of these places. :drinkers:

So Rick hope these may help. But then again ask your sister she may know a quite let your hair down place close to where you are staying. Where ever you choose, it OK . Cheers
