It is my melancholy duty to report the passing today, Sunday 7th Januaryi in the Sunshine Coast area, of my brother-in-law LCDR John Simmons of the January, 1961 intake. John was the inspiration for my joining the RAN in 1967, an affair which has lasted 51 years to date. Funeral details will be posted when known.
