VALE - NEVILLE STAR R42340 - JULY 1959 NIRIMBA ENTRYIt is with a sad heart that I onforward the following advice;
Corbin Dingle, State President of the South Australian branch of the Naval Association has advised that Neville Star, R42340, Crossed the Bar in the morning of yesterday 2 April. He further detailed that had it not been for Neville’s commitment and dedication, the Naval Association would not have a Sub-Section in the Riverland.
Nev was a term ahead of me at HMAS NIRIMBA and I remember him as a quiet, sincere and well liked member of the MOBI family. Unfortunately our paths were not to cross once he had graduated from NIRIMBA.
Our thoughts, at this time, are with his family and friends.
Yours aye
Bob Mummery
Whilst Neville would have been a Senior Apprentice when I joined, I can't recall him, (may have been a Greenie,) nevertheless any MOBI's passing is regrettable...
