Sadly we lose another MOBI.

Ian, always known as WOP, was a year ahead of me at NIRIMBA. We both ended up serving in HMAS MELBOURNE before doing the 1969 Chief Engine Room Artificers Course together. WOP introduced us to an off pay-week drink of Stones Green Ginger Wine and Coke – take a glass of SGGW, pick up a can of coke and pass it over the SGGW and put it down on the other side of the SGGW then drink the SGGW.

May a good night with WOP in the Chief’s Mess at CERBERUS!!!!

Ian Henderson WOOLLARD, passed away peacefully at Mary Potter Hospice on Monday 14th June 2021. Aged 78 years.

He did his Vietnam Service on the gun line in HMAS Perth in 67/68.

RIP Ian, rest your oars, your watch is done.
