Sadly another MOBI has Crossed the Bar on Sunday 18th September.
Well known among the earlier MOBIs, and probably a few more, Russ had two postings to HMAS STUART and paid off after 12 years as an ERA1.
Post Navy he had a jobs in a hydraulic company then Carlton United Brewery for a few years before entertaining 15 or more years at Cadbury’s in charge of the boiler house.
Sad to see yet another of the MOBI fold taking unscheduled leave, may he RIP.
I understand that the following may assist those wishing and able to pay their last respects.
• Russ's funeral service will be held at the Lilydale Crematorium at 1145 on Monday 3rd October.
• The funeral Director is William Matthews Funerals, Lilydale and the link and details for Russ’s funeral should be on their website next Tuesday.
• His wake is being held at the Chirnside Country Club, Lilydale, where he and Helen have been members for 48 years.
