We lost another brother on Thursday. :tear:

A lot of you will remember Nev, he was a direct entry Shipwright. I'm not sure how long he was in pussers, but it was over 20 years. Most of the Chippies on this site would have served with him.

Nev lived at Hyams Beach on Jervis Bay not far from us, so Shep and I caught up with him and Lesley quite regularly. We will miss him greatly as he was lots of fun. He was 90 years young but pancreatic cancer claimed him.

My flag is now flying at half mast.

Fair winds and smooth seas old mate.

Neville Graig HOSKINS - R51003

His Vietnam Service consisted of:

1 x Gunline Tour in HMAS Vendetta in Sep 1969 - Apr 1970.

1 x Escort Trip to Vung Tau in Oct 1970.

I served with Nev in HMAS Sydney at the end of the Vietnam runs. The NAA archives say he joined in 1955 and was still serving until 1975. But like Ned, I think he was still around after that. From what I remember, he was always a very likable bloke.

Vale Nev :salute1:
