Wyndham College, on the former Nirimba site is marketing itself. It used to be the feeder college for all the Year 11 and Year 12 high school students around the area but change is happening. Apart from the TAFE and university college on the site their are two senior colleges (the other being Catholic). Wyndham College is situated to the right as you used to enter the base. One of the images shows the college and the view towards the former airfield.

Yesterday was RUOK? Day. I sent a message out to my term mates checking-in on them.
One response probably covers the majority of us and needs broadcasting further:
“Well, the golf is below abysmal, the fishing is about the same, the jobs around the house never seem to go away and the Country, state and federal, seems to be run by a bunch of genuine morons.
But I’m OK, just got to stop shouting at the tv! I trust you’re OK as well”.
Cheers

It certainly put a smile on my dial.

How bloody clever, nay, brilliant, was that...!!! I can't imagine, nor conceive, of a more innovative, specifically targeted, uniquely focussed and a more pin-point, accurate way of taking down a LOAD of the enemy, at the same time, with the absolute minimum of collateral damage...
"Welcome to Hezbollah, Mohammed here's your special pager, keep it on you at all times in case we need to urgently reach all of you at the same time...!!!"
................................................................................ Q. How can you pick a Hezbollah operative..?
........................................................................... A #1. He no longer has full use of his/ her hands... ........................................................................... A #2. Look for torn trouser pockets, holes burnt in the bourkas and/ or singed belts...
........................................................................... A #3. Possibly wearing an eye-patch or dark glasses, even at night...
........................................................................... A #4. Appears particularly skittish around sudden noises/ fireworks...
........................................................................... A #5. Absolutely refuses to use a mobile phone or a pager...
..................................... I reckon you'd be shitting yourself if you were the bulk pager salesman/ dealer/ supplier/ manufacturer right now, wouldn't you..??

Totally agree with the above. I guess we can all 'guess' who did it, but the whole story has to be looked at to see the depth of work that went into the whole operation.
Surveillance to find out what was planned re the acquisition i.e the plan/selection of supplier/order/delivery dates/transport, then the simultaneous plan to set up an intercept/develop the software/explosive type/installation and delivery within an acceptable timeframe. Just brilliant.
And the overall message is that we're watching all the time, we can get to you all the time, and we will. Then the demonstration where 'they' blow up all the incrinimating devices and the terrorists as the ultimate 'GOTCHA!!'
I am in awe.
....just as an aside, those who weren't killed outright will probably not be reproducing, given that they carry the pagers in a convenient spot..........

Anyone can be ordinary. Shipwrights choose to be extraordinary!

If anyone has watched that excellent film "Law Abiding Citizen" then the part with the judge with the mobile phone can now be considered a technical guide....
