Sadly, fact not fiction. Apparently, increasing large solar farms in the UK is a given and returning to mind numbing inheritance taxes (that previously saw the decimation of large swaths of heritage buildings, estates and farmland) . They seem to forget that greater self sufficiency of basic food products (home grown farms) was a cornerstone of stepping back from full reliance on imports (sans BREXIT). On a thread I check out, one of those on it pointed out that solar as a reliable energy source in the UK was marginal as there was, at the most, only a three month window that offered sufficient reliability of the supply form.

The Guvment official acknowledges the potential issues from questions raised (noting this all started from a Choice article on imported EVs), then Murray Watts says that it is okay as the Minister of Cybersecurity says that all the concerns have been fixed (on his car)....
