This video from the Sea Power Centre - Australia’s historic film collection was produced in the 1970s and examines the RAN’s former apprentice training school at HMAS Nirimba. It features film footage of naval apprentices undergoing training as well as HMA Ships Perth (II), Derwent and Melbourne (II) at sea.
This cine film has been placed online as part of the Sea Power Centre - Australia’s ongoing archival digitisation program.

A pretty good job of attempting to explain the workings a very broad difficult subject to a broad mixed audience that will mainly not be familiar with the technical requirements and issues.
Might have to pay $5 as it is behind a paywall, but I think it is worth it The other option may be to see if you can watch it on a repeat viewing on the FTA Skynews channel in rural aeas (53 or 56 usually) if you can access it.

For those that don't want to pay $5 the show is being repeated on Sky News regional fta channels at 2200 on Friday 22 Nov and and at 1400 on Saturday 23 Nov. There may be additional repeats at other times as well.
Chris Ulman has done a good good in high lighting the imbelic approach of Blowen and Albosleazy. It is worth the watch but will make you angry. Channels are usually 53 or 56 but if you can scroll through the channels you should find if it being transmitted in your area.
