Received an email from Ron Hourigan (Chippy 16th Mobi intake) yesterday that Tony Rumble had advised him that Max McGrath (ex boilermaker 16th mobi intake) had passed away at the end of September.

Only served with Max at Nirimba where he was terrific bloke. Sad to see him go so early.

Vale Max, rest your oars and fair winds wherever you may be.

Received that email as well Mike and was very shocked as he was his usual bubbly self at our reunion in 2004. and seemed in good health. From all reports at that gathering he would be only the second of our intake to leave this world. Perhaps we should all meet again sooner rather than later!!
