Featuring the voice of renowned actor Mr. Sam Elliott, this video is a tribute

Like many, I suffer from a hearing loss and I do not always wear my hearing aids as such I often don't hear the words that are spoken.

I can how ever Hear the Whispers on the Wind from our fallen men and women who are saying ""Thank You for Remembering Us"" without my hearing aids

:evil3: The National Vietnam Veterans Museum on Phillip Island in Victoria has just won the Trip Advisor 2015 Travellers Choice Award :medal:

We are delighted with the award which gives the museum the stat us it deserves and justifies the huge amount of work that volunteers do for the museum. I encourage all
of your wide readership to make the journey to Phillip Island, you will not be disappointed. I would also like to mention a way that you can support the museum, through
joining Friends of the museum. For just 80 cents a week as a Friends member you help to support the museum, spread the word as an ambassador and of course as a Friend
you are a valued member of the museum and entitled to a wide range of discounted activities and purchases and attendance at Friends prices to the special displays etc at
the museum. Best of all, you help preserve YOUR STORY, free of spin, for future generations. Visit the NVVM website for information on Friends and how to join.

Warm regards,

Bob Elworthy
Secretary NVVM Board of Directors

P.S. We are getting an APC ! At long last one of the big holes in our big boys toys display is to be filled with the arrival of an M113A shortly. Also the Huey is about to start
its transformation back into its Vietnam War livery and configuration.

That's interesting, they had an APC when I visited there in 2000. Must have been on loan. Wonder if it's still on the access road to Phillip Island?

No its actually on the Island now. It was at San Remo on the mainland but moved across the bridge into much bigger premises next to the airport. Seen it many times going to the race circuit but never ventured inside.

Suppose I should put it on my bucket list.

Thanks Peter, and you should go. It was very interesting back then, should be even more so now. They even had a reasonable Navy section, unusual for a museum started by swotties.
