PW,
Try the person shown below at the Sydney Heritage Fleet's office at Pyrmont for plans for a boom defence vessel.

The Fleet holds various drawings for more than 300 vessels and listed below are the vessels for which some plans have been digitised – further information about the various drawings can be provided by contacting the Maritime Records and Research Centre’s Curator on 02 9298 3850 or email mrrc@shf.org.au.

Could also try the Naval Heritage Centre, Garden Island.
Here is some detail from their web site.

Maybe Cerberus museum??

I don't think he'll have any trouble reaching his 'minimum order' requirement, :finga: I'd imagine every DDG Sailor would want one...!

Gents, I'm in talks with a high end resin model manufacturer to go into production for a run of 1/350 scale Charles F. Adams class destroyers.

The kits are resin injection moulded (not plastic) and are highly accurate reproductions. Most of the individual parts are also highly detailed,
photo-etched brass. The finished model is roughly 300mm in length and would be suited to a moderately skilled model builder.

The kits include all the decals for either a yank, German or RAN version (HMAS Perth, Hobart or Brisbane). They also come with Ikara launchers
however these can be left off and the old Ikara deck modified to reflect the latest incarnation of the Australian Perth class destroyers.

The pic below is what it looks like when built and painted.

If you are interested in getting one for yourself please let me know as I need a minimum number of orders to get these onto a production run.

The cost will be approximately $200 delivered to your door but I'll supply individual quotes for each order received.

For those interested, but NOT on Facebook, I'll endeavour to get ordering details for you... :mail:

UPDATE :right: P.S. Just received a reply to my post on the HMAS Brisbane Facebook Page from Bryson...

Bryson Ryan - G'day Rick, I can be reached at :type: brysonryan@hotmail.com if anyone on your site is interested. Thanks.

Update from Bryson: Gents I'm still negotiating price with the manufacturer for a group discount and will post the final price, payment details and
expected delivery date as soon as I can. Price will be inclusive of delivery to your door via express post. I'll need to stop taking orders by this Friday so
we can lock the numbers in and start production so if you havent ordered yet, you'll need to PM me with your delivery address by COB Friday 12/2/16.
Also anyone who has expressed interest but has hasnt advised a delivery address, please make sure you pass this on to me by COB Friday. Thanks

=; A number of updates have been posted on Facebook for those who've ordered a DDG  from Bryson... :evil3:

Bryson Ryan 10:15am Feb 16

Update: Gents, we have a very larger number of orders for these models and I've put this through to the manufacturer to get an idea on price and a group discount. Due to the large number of orders the manufacturer is asking for a little more time to order more decal sets however this shouldn't hold things up too much. I should have an idea of cost in the next couple of days and will post this as soon I know.

Bryson Ryan 9:40am Feb 17

Update: Gents, the original company I was talking to have had commercial issues getting their master mould back from a third party and are unable to start production on our models in a reasonable timeframe. They have put me in touch with another high quality resin model manufacturer in Europe however these models are another step up from the original and they can begin production on our order straight away. The price is a little higher at $248 delivered, but this includes a 10% group discount and postage of the entire order of over 120 models from France. As with the previous company, these high end models are made in small batches, with highly detailed phot-etched parts. The owner of the company has indicated that our ships will be ready in 6-8 weeks from the date the order is placed. For those still keen to go ahead, please transfer $248 into the below account I've set up to track the orders and payments. Important: Please use your name as it appears on your Facebook account as your payment reference, otherwise i wont know who has made the order in some cases and would like to avoid any complications with the payments. I'll give it a week for all the payments to be made and will then place the order. If you would like your own model please ensure the money arrives in the below account by COB Wednesday 24/2/16. Thanks lads!

One of the posts on the HMAS Brisbane Facebook Page raised a question, which I thought one of us may have been able to answer to assist all of those purchasing a DDG from Bryson, as follows... :evil3:

Wilby Green 5:44pm Feb 12

Does anyone know how to get hold of ship side grey or a close match..?

Image

If anybody can give me the Pantone/ HTML/ Hex/ RGB equivalent, or original specs for the old 'Ship Side Grey', I'm sure the boys will appreciate it immensely...

Rick, the original colour was an Australian Standards Colour - which means that almost any paint shop, auto paint shop, or even places like Auto One and Autobarn can mix it and put it into a spray can. Other types of paints can also be supplied.

Colour is Aus Standard Colour N42 - Storm Grey.

Thanks Seejay, I've passed that on, I remember it was the subject of a discussion some time ago...

This was from 5th Dec., 2013... :type: Navy updates ship colour scheme for modern war-fighting...

"Subtle changes mean significant savings. In the foreground, HMAS Success in current (Storm Grey)
livery alongside USS Bonhomme Richard in a similar colour scheme (Haze Grey) that is about to be
adopted by the Royal Australian Navy."

=; I know it's not Credence Clearwater Revival,
it's not even Tina Turner, :supz: but Beyoncé :love1: (at a tribute concert
for Tina Turner,)
is infinitely better to look at, (then,) with her cover of
The Steel Cat's RAS :captain: Breakaway song, PROUD MARY... :yea:

...Or maybe, if you've got a Super Wide Screen, :omg1: it'll be big enough to
fit both Beyoncé AND Tina Turner performing PROUD MARY as a duet..!
