When my car restoring mate was visiting, he described the cost to repair that particular type of radiator (from the requirement of one of his customers) and the need to send it to New Zealand to have it repaired. If the core was damaged (which, fortunately it is not) then the cost would be :pharque:N unbelieveable.

Brian, after re-reading some of your posts on the progress, the discussion on colours jangled a few long-dormant brain cells. :hi:

Signal Red was indeed the colour for all things Fire - including fire engines. I remember whilst in the Barrackmaster's workshop at Nirimba we had to fabricate/repair a couple of damaged frames on the existing fire unit. Signal Red was the specified colour.

Thanks Seejay - makes my purchase of the first 4 litres of Signal Red paint a correct purchase. Mind you, I could follow the current process seen on a number of ships have have a mix of colours  Due to trip and a little "unwellness" effort continues at a slower pace. I managed to find the engine number for the Ford motor so I am going to challenge the Supercheap Auto persons assertion that they can source every radiator hose for any Ford engine................

There is a vintage parts place here in Melbourne that I could go to for the hoses if you would like to get me some info..
I often have fun at SCA when they ask if they can help by asking if they have a distributor cap fo a Prince Skyline. Cause I know that there is no listing.
