Not very

World War I generals John Monash and “Pompey” Elliott were both practising lawyers.

Sir John Monash was a Engineer, and that was the first mistake I spotted.

Not a mistake Bruce, yes he was an engineer but he was also al qualified lawyer.

Monash later claimed to have met the bushranger Ned Kelly during his raid there in 1879.[7] Monash attended the state school and his intelligence was recognised. The family was advised to move back to Melbourne to let John reach his full potential, which they did in 1877. He was educated under Alexander Morrison at Scotch College, Melbourne, where he passed the matriculation examination when only 14 years of age.[3] At age 16, he was dux of the school.[2] He graduated from the University of Melbourne: a Master of Engineering in 1893; a Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Laws in 1895,[2] and a Doctor of Engineering in 1921.[8]

I've read the History of Sir John Monash, and he may of had a Bachelor of Laws & Arts, but he didn't practice.

He was first and foremost an Engineer. and one of the worlds top Generals.

Yep Bruce, agree with you entirely on that But he did practice law between 1885 and 1905 as he and his "partner" Noble Anderson sought Engineering contracts in difficult times or tried to recover claims or prevent damages to themselves and others in a very difficult period of growth in Victoria and Australia.

A good read is "Monash" by Grantlee Kieza, which identifies these areas in Monash's early career.

WARNING: I just received a Facebook message from a trusted source, one of my MOBI Intake... :-k

It comprises a 'link to a video' with the text below it: "I think you appear in this video look at it, Im really..."

When I clicked on the 'play' icon, I was taken to a full width screen which said words to the effect of:
"To view this video, you need to log into Facebook..." which :silly:

ME,

I got sucked into doing... #-o

I immediately got a pop-up message telling me that:
[-X

"You have just compromised your Facebook login/ password details..." :puter:

I promptly shut down the page, and Facebook and my laptop, and whilst I'm not sure if any damage was done, when I rebooted, I sent a message back to Roy, along
with the screen-dump above, :laughing3:

telling him his Facebook had been hacked...

With no immediate problems manifesting themselves, I'm nonetheless now in the process of doing a MalwareBytes quick scan and a Kaspersky full scan...

It may just be a hoax, I'll also check Snopes, will keep you posted... :evil3:

Nothing exactly the same on Snopes, but similar are deemed 'Inconclusive', however don't appear to be malevolent... :-#

Neither Kaspersky, nor Malwarebytes picked anything up either, so it may just be a malicious hoax... :dontknow:

I'll explore a bit further on Google :puter:

and see what eventuates... :-k

Facebook “IS THIS YOU?” Video Scam Steals Your Login Info... :angry9:

"A Facebook scam that has been circulating for years seems to be making a comeback. And if you fall for it, you’ll have your Facebook login info stolen by the scammers,
who can then hack your account and use it for a variety of nefarious purposes.

The scam works by tricking Facebook users into clicking a link to a video. The video will often have some variation of “Is this you?” or “Did you make this video?”
in the description to pique your interest, and will likely come from one of your friends (who already fell for this scam and had their credentials stolen).

If you click on the link, you’ll be taken to a fake Facebook login page with a message about confirming your information before you can access the video.
It is pretty obvious the page is fake if you notice the URL at the top. But if you're not paying attention and you enter your info here, you’ve just given the
scammers what they need to take over your account.

As a final insult, you won’t be taken to the video (which never existed in the first place), but dumped into a spammy affiliate ad network for NSFW games,
sketchy app downloads and survey scams. I’ve seen a few valid apps, too, such as Norton Secure VPN on Google Play, but these companies have no part in
the scam (after I notified Symantec, Norton’s parent company, about the app’s inclusion, a spokesperson told me “Upon learning of this issue, we worked
with our mobile advertising partner to quickly identify and blacklist the bad actor responsible for this threat. We are also working to identify consumers
who may have been impacted to help them with any residual effects.”)

The best course of action if you get one of these video links from a friend is to not click it and notify your friend by phone or email, if possible, that their account
may have been compromised. It’s also possible the video was sent from a friend’s cloned Facebook account that a scammer used to friend you in the past.

If you made the mistake of entering your credentials on that fake login page, you should immediately change your Facebook password before the scammers have a
chance to get in. This would also be an excellent time to consider setting up Two-factor authentication for Facebook so you won’t lose access to your account if you
fall for another phishing scam in the future.
And if the scammers have already taken control of your Facebook account, you’ll need to go through Facebook’s account recovery process to regain access." :sheeesh:

In Summary: If you receive a video embedded in a Facebook Message from me, with text along the lines of: "I think you appear in this video look at it, Im really..."
then GO NO FURTHER...!!! Delete the message and PLEASE let be know on here, :hi:

so I'll know my Facebook's been hacked :axe:

and I can then follow up
with Mr Zuckerberg... :violent1:

UPDATE: Whilst I've had no feedback/ complaints from anybody on my Facebook Friends list, :evil3:

(so hopefully my Facebook hasn't been infected,) I have just
received the same virus from another one of our Intake, and so has 'Mrs Chippy Ned', Ellen, also from the same source, so it IS doing the rounds... :bugger:
