Sadly, time and other causes has taken another from the July 1965 (19th) MOBI intake.

Robert passed away Sunday 29th Jan in Adelaide, surrounded by his family.

Bob joined Nirimba in the July 65 intake as one of seven South Australians in that intake.

He served for several years in Stuart in the 70’s as both a PO and CPOETS and later as an SD Officer, and often commented that his greatest Navy memories were those from his time in HMAS Stuart.

Bob served in many Ships and Establishments with distinction during his 28 years’ service in the RAN.

As an aside, and being a fellow member of the 19th Intake, I knew Bob's nickname was Pisser. Whether it was from taking it out of everyone, or racing to get into it I do not know.

Vale Bob, may you have sunshine on your face, calm seas, and a good ship, possibly a Type 12 to carry you on your final posting.

I never had the pleasure of serving with Robert, but I'm still saddened to lose another MOBI member. My condolences to Robert's family and shipmates.
