Well, we're back. Been home for a couple of days now after a nightmare of a trip.

Got to the airport 2 hours early as required, checked in, waited at the gate only for the flight with Shitstar to delay. Then they cancelled. Wife turned to water knowing her mother's funeral was less than 24 hours away and we were the organisers.

No replacement flight, just 'try and get on the next flight' which was full. Major dramas all round, no help desk at the airport, help desk on line didn't answer and finally our son & daughter in law gave us their seats on another flight. I got them onto Qantas later in the day at exorbitant rates.

Finally into Sydney and onto the train to Woy Woy, taxi to Ettalong Beach to find the hotel had lost our booking. Finally sorted that out and collapsed in our room.

Then we started hearing Shitstar horror stories from lots of other people. They will never have our business again.

Ellen and I are off to Fiji with the Shepherds tomorrow for 2 weeks of warm weather and snorkelling/diving. I am sure that Shep and I will think about you all every day.
