Unfortunately we have lost another Legend. Jack Lennon was 3 years ahead of me at MOBILAND. At the time I was let loose on the Fleet and joined Jack in HMAS SUPPLY where I understudied Jack in my training time for Auxiliary Machinery. He was a good teacher and I sailed through the various subjects. John left HMA SUPPLY as a volunteer for Submarines where he went on to make a good name for himself.

Our thoughts and prayers go to his wife Val and their extended family.

For your mailing list, I am advised that Jack Lennon died in Adelaide this morning after a struggle with cancer. He is survived by his wife Val and their children and grandchildren.
I will let you know when I have information about the funeral/ memorial service etc.

Whilst he never posted on RAN Skilled Hands, John actually joined as a Member on Fri Nov 21, 2003 11:24 pm, about two weeks after we launched...

I'd like to think he got some joy out of logging on from time to time over the intervening 20 years...!
