About halfway through our trip, currently in Dublin and what a great place. Having a ball, been through Hawai'i, San Francisco and Boston - including the Shrewsbury area with Fred & Anne, and have enjoyed all of it, but with minor annoyances. US hotels have a habit of selling you a booking for a set price then when you check in they nail you with an extra daily fee plus tax for incidentals. Some have been US $35.00 per day.  So be aware if you travel there. Dublin is up front with cost, all inclusive. I can recommend the Grand Canal Hotel, very nice. US ones have been okay, but I won't recommend them due to their charging and attitudes. Recommend highly the Alcatraz tour, the Cablecars in San Fran, and the hop on/off bus tour around Boston, just great. I do NOT recommend any airline that uses the Airbus A330-300. Noisiest and most uncomfortable of all.
