It is with a sad heart that I post the POETW Wayne 'Woolly' Woolmer passed away on Monday 10 Jan 05 because of the dreaded Big C.

His Funeral is on Friday over in Fremantle - Sorry Mate I won't be able to make it over.

I am really sad to have to write this, of the passing of my Dubbo shipmate.

Steve "Windy" Hill EX POMTP3 Jan 77---Jan89. Nirimba, Jervis Bay, Penguin, Bendigo, Albatross, Dubbo, Waterhen, Curlew.

Steve was killed in an accident on Monday 24 January 2005.
His funeral will be in Maffra VIC on Wednesday 2 February.

I will never forget his "Windy for PM" stickers or how he signed the night order book: Sir Theodore Aloysius Artichoke Windrush III

As far as I can ascertain, Windy is the first of our members to pass away.

A sad day old buddy, we will think of you on 24th January each year.

May you rest easy with the big Tiffy in the sky.

I am so shocked to hear of the passing of Steve (Windy) Hill. He was a member of "MTP Charlie Class 1977 Intake. To think that a bloke i spent my time with at Nirimba has gone is gut wrenching. We have chatted on the net for the last 6 months or so and were going to organize a get together, which will now, never come.

To all you folks out there, if you get a chance to catch up with someone from your past , do it . Dont put it off. I'm certainly not going to from now on.

I remember serving with Stainless in a coulpe of drafts, Lonsdale and Tarangau I think, quite a character who I'm sure will be missed by many... [-o<
