FYI: Copied this from the HMAS Nirimba. RAN Apprentice Training Establishment Facebook page... "Hello. With the blessing of his family, and with sadness, I must inform you that Mal Creagh crossed the bar early this morning. I believe Mal was in the 10th intake in Jan 61 at HMAS Nirimba. He was also a member of the commissioning crew on HMAS Brisbane DDG41, also serving on her in the Vietnam conflict in 1969. His funeral will be in Brisbane TBA. R.I.P." Whilst Mal was 3 terms ahead of Ned and myself, I remember him well, although our paths never crossed after Nirimba... Not sure what branch Mal was, but it's always sad to learn of another MOBI Brother crossing the bar... VALE: Rest on your oars, Mal, your journey's done... R.I.P.

Served with Mal during a posting to Nirimba. He was "greenie" instructor and I was in the ME school. Good memories. We carpooled for a while as he lived at Kingswood and I was living in South Penrith. Vale Mal, RIP and may you have fair winds and following seas. Condolences you your family and friends.
