Just two months off that milestone of 100 years - an achievement in it own right.

Dear Bob,

It is with deep sadness that we announce the death of Charles Henry David Layzell.

Charles passed away peacefully on the 29th of August 2026 at the age of 99 and 10 months. Whilst he didn’t officially make the great mark of the 100 years, we still think he achieved a marvellous innings.

We will advise the details of the service as soon as we have details.

If you could pass on the details to the grapevine, it would be greatly appreciated.

Please note that a funeral service for Charles Layzell will be held at the following:

Guardian Funerals
Pinegrove
Kingston Street
Minchinbury NSW

The service will be on Monday the 14th of September 2026 at 2:00pm

There will be a live stream of the event for those unable to make the service and wishing to partake in the event.

We are planning a wake after the service at a yet to be advised venue.
