The woman obviously has no understanding of the Vietnam era ... and she can be just as arrogant as her father "Hank" could be (albeit a damn fine actor).

Cheers,

I excerised my god given right, and used the on/off modulator and removed the bitch from my TV screen.

But I had to spend 2 hours cleaning the TV to remove the stain.

Hey, Wayne have you guys still got those Jane Fonda Urinal target Decals.
If so its time to trot those things out.

Jane Fonda will be interviewed by Margaret Throsby on ABCCLASSICFM at 10 am tomorrow (Tuesday 28th) for anyone intersted in tuning in to her thoughts in '06.
I read an interview with her a year or so back in which she stated that she made a mistake in going to North Vietnam during the war. We all change, especially as we age.
Anyone, including JF, has a right to disagree with a decision to send troops to war and a democratic right to express that opinion.
Anyone that gives succour to the enemy in time of war should be jailed IMO. That includes paying kickbacks to the regime you are about to go to war with.
Fonda's main folly was that she was such a high profile person. For some reason people thought, and still think, that a movie star's opinions are worth something. Why? You don't have to be an intellectual or even of moderate intelligence to be an actor. In some ways it's better to direct the not-too-bright. They are easier to manipulate.
I don't think JF is very bright. That's my two bob's worth.

Wayne, I had a look at all those links and I must say I was quite surprised to see the JF urinal stickers for sale on ebay. It's good to see the anti-Jane feeling is so widespread over there.

Allen, I agree about jailing the mongrels who are giving support to the enemy. It's a pity that we couldn't have jailed the entire labor party back in the 60's and 70's who were actively supporting the other side via the unions at the time. When medical supplies marked 'Donated to North Vietnam by the Melbourne University' were found in the Nui Le province in the early 70's the government of the day should have gone through the place with napalm to clean out the vermin infecting the place.

Butch, good to see you still kicking old timer!

Cheers

CJ

Ceejay,

I agree lets lock them all up, throw in some goonies of cheap wine and some dope, and after all the bitch, back stabbing and general murder hang the last one for mass-murder.

Simple and no burden to the Tax payer.

Of course the Do-gooders would bitch but again who cares.

CJ
She never goes out in public, and hasn't for years.
The veterans hate her so bad that she would get shot on main street.

I remember an bloke by the name of Toohey (can't remember his first name) during the Vietnam era. He was either a journalist or unionist and he used to raise funds and send them to the North Vietnamese.

I remember him being interviewed and when it was suggested that his funds could be used to buy weapons to be used against our troops, he said that he wasn't concerned because he was against our troops being in Vietnam!

I used to wish someone would have strung him up.

Police: Man Arrested For Spitting On Jane Fonda
Fonda Declines To Press Charges

POSTED: 9:19 am EDT April 20, 2005
UPDATED: 4:15 pm EDT April 20, 2005

KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Police said they arrested a man for spitting on two-time Academy Award-winning actress Jane Fonda (pictured, right) during a book-signing stop in Kansas City Tuesday night.

Fonda, 67, spoke at Unity Temple, in The Plaza shopping district, about her new best-selling book, "My Life So Far," and her new movie with Jennifer Lopez called "Monster-In-Law."

At about 9 p.m., police said 54-year-old Michael A. Smith, who had been waiting in line for about 90 minutes, passed a book to Fonda and then spit a large amount of tobacco juice into her face.

They said Smith then ran away and was taken into custody by off-duty officers, who were providing security for the event.

Fonda declined to prosecute Smith.

A Vietnam veteran, Smith was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct, which is a city charge.

In 1972, Fonda was photographed sitting in a North Vietnamese anti-aircraft tank.

About her protest involvement in the Vietnam War, Fonda has apologized for her anti-aircraft tank photo, calling it an incredible lapse in judgment. She has not apologized for opposing the war.

Listened to Jane Fonda's interview yesterday. Her take on her actions is that she wasn't pro North Vietnamese or anti-American or anti-our troops. She said that she was in NV to try to end the war. She also pointed out that a number of other less high profile people had been there during the war with the same intention--stopping the war. She got bagged because she was high profile. The people that went there before and after her included American senators and American Vietnam vets.
She also repeated that she would regret that photo on the anti-aircraft gun till her dying day.

CJ, the Labor Party in the 60s and early 70s was made up of people with differing views on the rightness or wrongness of the war in Vietnam. Just as supporters of the coalition today have a range of opinions abouit Iraq. If you'd taken the entire Labor Party out and shot them over some unions support for the enemy, you'd have had to shoot my dear old dad. Similarly, if you'd nuked Melbourne uni, you'd have nuked my sister. Neither my dad or sister had any time for people that sent aid to NV during that war, and not just because their son and brother served a couple of times in a very minor way in that conflict.
If you extend the idea and suggest taking out all unionists because they opposed/oppose government policy in Vietnam and Iraq, you'll have to shoot the police, firies, ambos and a lot of other people that could hardly be considered as wide-eyed lunatic Lefties.
It always amuses me to hear people talk about THE UNIONS as if they are one humungous anti-western force that speaks with one voice. Like political parties, they are mainly made up of ordinary people with the range of opinions that ordinary people have.
I was a union delegate in two states at various times in my career. and watching the machinations on the floors of Trades Halls between left right and moderates was interesting indeed.
